HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Despite the struggles, I continue to press toward the goal. In honor of my 43rd birthday (May 11th), I am asking that you donate to the MCLD so we can resume our programming this coming fall. I have always heard the adage "it takes a village to raise a child," but through my experiences with the MCLD, it has become more than just a saying; it is the truth!
Throughout the month of may, I have a tremendous goal of raising $43,000 which will go entirely towards funding the MCLD fall programs. It cost approximately $500 per student and we anticipate an enrollment of 100 students. Soooooo...there is much work to do. Give us a helping hand by clicking on the DONATE button and submitting your donation today.
In advance, I thank you for all you do to support the MCLD and its youth participants.

Why donate to the Milwaukee Center for Leadership Development?
The Milwaukee Center for Leadership Development depends upon your generous donations in order to provide quality programs for the youth of Greater Milwaukee and the surrounding areas. All of our funding comes from grants and private donations. Without your support, we would not be able to do what we do.
Our young people are preparing to lead this community and we are guiding them in this process. The MCLD understands the charge that has been placed upon those who do indeed know better and it is taken seriously. As Franklin D. Roosevelt once said, "We cannot always build the future for our children, but we can build our children for the future" and the MCLD believes we have a responsibility to do just that.
What do we do with your donations?
We strive to be great stewards of the funds we receive and can assure you that our focus is squarely on the youth and carrying out the mission of the Milwaukee Center for Leadership Development. Occasionally, donors will specify how they want their donations to be utilized. However, generally speaking, most donations are used for operating and programming expenses. These expenses include scholarships for material fees, the cost of individual programs and classes, and field trips.
On average, it cost $500 per student per program. The material fee paid is a mere $25 for most of the courses. Therefore, the MCLD is responsible for the remaining $475 and we can only manage this amount per student, with the support of the community.
How can you donate?
Donations can be made in a variety of ways: in-kind donations, monetary donations, or a donation of your time as a volunteer. Please click here, on the MCLD Wish List, to see what in-kind donations are needed. To see volunteer opportunities, please click here to go to the tab marked "Get Involved."
We try to make the process of donating as seamless as possible. You can donate by completing our donation form (click here to download)
