WELCOME to the
Milwaukee Center for Leadership Development...

...where we are determined to teach our youth in love what the world will teach them without consideration.

Nearly three years ago, the MCLD was established in an effort to provide quality solutions to the problems that continue to plague African Americans and minorities; issues that hinder academic success and ultimately success in life.  The MCLD encourages African American and minority youth to excel to the highest levels of achievement and  become productive citizens by providing training, information and experiences that promote academic, personal, and professional development.

The MCLD has taken on the challenge of developing future leaders, CEO's, business owners, teachers, doctors, skilled workers, etc.  A pipeline of high quality minority youth is being prepared to succeed in higher education and the workplace.  Through first-rate youth development programs and experiences, unwavering high expectations, and a dedicated staff, the youth of the MCLD are provided with the tools, skills, and resources they need to accomplish their goals.

The MCLD realizes that every person is a unique individual, with unique talents and desires.  The goal of the MCLD is not to encourage ALL youth to go to college; rather,  to prepare to succeed in life after high school.  For some, it may include attending a college or university, joining the military, or participating in a job training program.  By answering the three questions below, the participants are better equipped to accomplish their dreams.

Who am I?

"One  of the lessons that I grew up with was to always stay true  to yourself and never  let what somebody else says distract you from your goals.   And so when I hear  about negative and false attacks, I really don't invest any
energy in them,  because I know who I am."
~First Lady Michelle Obama

              Where am I going?

Did you know that setting goals increases your productivity by 50%? Setting goals helps you to become more disciplined and focused on achievement.  Your life becomes more meanigful because you have a target at which to aim.

"The reason most people never reach
their goals is that they don't define them, learn about them or even seriously consider them as believable or achievable."

- Denis Waitley

     How will I get there?

Achievement of your goals will not happen without action; but, before you act, you need to have a plan.  Knowing where you are going is good; knowing how you will get there is GREAT!

"Planning without action is futile, action without planning is fatal."
